Geography
Where Mah Sakuwantar sits in the world
Mah Sakuwantar (The Great Rest) sits in the wider Caucasus / steppe-edge ecology: mountains, river valleys, and seasonal routes that turn travel into a teacher.
Geography matters in the canon because it determines what can be witnessed directly. Mountains, rivers, storms, and distance shape what knowledge can spread, what can be preserved, and what drifts into imitation.
Core Places (RPG Scene Containers)
These locations recur across book, journals, and series as “places where the pattern happens”:
- The Great Rest settlement: compounding innovations, compounding consequences.
- Gathering commons: feedback amplifier; where ideas meet resistance.
- Marketplace: exchange pressure; where value and obligation start to harden.
- Fire circle: relational field maintenance; slow witnessing and repair.
- Cave mouth: liminal pause; consent and readiness (the “Third Step”).
- Deep cave / wall: formal witnessing and “Mark” — sealing memory against drift.
